Mobile App Privacy Policy

Mountain High Disposal (“Mountain High,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Mountain High Disposal mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use collection schedules, reminders, disposal guidance, and service-request features.
1. Information handled by the App
Service addresses
The App allows you to search for and select a service address. The selected address, its internal identifier, and display information are saved on your device so the App can provide the corresponding collection schedule. You do not need to create an account or provide a username or password.
When you submit a service request, the App sends the selected service-address identifier and the information Mountain High needs to respond. Extra Trash requests include the requested service date, bag quantity, and applicable service information. Missed Pick-up, Container Damage, and General Contact requests include details you choose to provide.
App preferences and notifications
The App stores your theme selection, notification preferences, scheduled-notification identifiers, and a temporary cache of schedule information on your device.
Pickup reminders are optional. If enabled, reminders are scheduled locally by your device. The current version does not create a remote push-notification account or upload an Expo push token. You may disable reminders in the App or change notification permission in your device settings.
Technical information
When the App communicates with Mountain High systems, our hosting and security providers may process limited technical information such as search terms, the selected address identifier, Internet Protocol address, request date and time, requested API endpoint, device or browser type, and error or security logs.
2. How information is used
We use information handled through the App to:
- find service addresses and display collection schedules;
- provide announcements, disposal guidance, and drop-off information;
- schedule pickup reminders you request;
- receive and fulfill service requests;
- prevent duplicate submissions, fraud, and misuse; and
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App.
Selecting an address in the App does not create a customer account or establish ownership of that address.
3. Email requests and linked services
Extra Trash, Missed Pick-up, Container Damage, and General Contact requests are sent securely to Mountain High through the App’s backend. Resend processes these requests as Mountain High’s transactional email provider so the office can receive and fulfill them.
The App may open billing, signup, waiver, and other webpages operated by Mountain High or its service providers. Information entered directly on those webpages is governed by the privacy practices presented there and is not entered directly into the App.
4. Information sharing
Mountain High may use hosting, database, transactional email, website, and technical service providers to operate the App and related services. These providers may process limited information when necessary to perform services for Mountain High.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, prevent fraud or abuse, or complete a business transfer such as a merger or asset sale.
Mountain High does not sell personal information collected through the App and does not use App information for third-party behavioral advertising.
5. Data retention and deletion
Your selected service address and App preferences remain on your device until you change the address, clear applicable settings, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App.
A minimal service-request record, including additional details you submit, may be retained for operational fulfillment, duplicate prevention, and troubleshooting for approximately 90 days. Technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for operations, security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
Customer and service-address records used to operate waste-collection services may exist in Mountain High’s business systems independently of the App.
You may remove the selected address through the App, disable notifications, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App to remove locally stored App data.
Request deletion of your data
To request deletion of information submitted through the Mountain High Disposal mobile app, email mountainhighdisposal@gmail.com or call 970-834-1144. Include your service address and a description of the request so we can identify the applicable records. We may request additional information to verify and fulfill the request.
Eligible service-request details and associated App records will be deleted upon a verified request. Information may be retained when reasonably necessary to fulfill an active service request, prevent fraud or duplicate submissions, comply with legal obligations, maintain security, or resolve disputes. Service-request records are otherwise normally retained for approximately 90 days.
Customer and service-address records maintained independently in Mountain High’s waste-service business systems are not automatically deleted by removing App data.
6. Security
Mountain High uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. App traffic is transmitted through encrypted HTTPS connections. No electronic system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is a household utility service intended for customers and residents seeking waste-service information. It is not directed to children under 13, and Mountain High does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.
8. Changes to this policy
Mountain High may update this Privacy Policy as the App, its features, or applicable requirements change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
